Positive: The breakfast variety was outstanding, please keep it that way! The staff was really friendly and attentive, even the housekeeping staff greeted nicely which you can't expect in every hotel The location was good and the WiFi worked well
Negative: You could easily hear other guests slam the doors of their rooms since they weren't attentive enough to be careful and quiet on the corridor and the walls were thin. There still was a noise coming out of the air conditioning even though I turned it off So it wasn't the most relaxing night

Positive: I choose the smallest room since I was only there for 1 night. It was perfect for my needs. If I had plan a longer stay in the future, I would choose a bigger room. Happy hour in the lounge is very popular and loud. I know others have mentioned that it was hard to find a seat at breakfast, that was not my experience at all.

Positive: location, breakfast, elevator. Decor of commons spaces was amusing.
Negative: We were given a top floor (5th) room, under a dormer window. Luckily we are not tall, but even so, my husband bumped his head several times. Should be advised when booking that the 5th floor rooms have very low ceilings. Also, should be advised where to park when checking in, and that one's room may be in a different building altogether down the block. Luckily for us my husband found street parking when we needed to move the car, and it was not raining at that moment. But it could have easily been a long walk with our luggage in pouring rain.
Summary: Great location to explore Akureyri on foot. But ask what floor if you're tall!

Positive: Very close to the main street and locations are in walking distance, less than 10 minutes. The room is comfortable, a bit tight on the side of the bed, but since I was alone it was a none issue. There is construction going on across the street but you can't hear it if the window is closed, because of the construction they have built scaffolding which has the most soothing sound in the rain. I did really like the moodiness of the room and the bathroom looks amazing, everything looks brand new, big smart tv.
Negative: The water from the shower did go outside the shower, had to use 3 towels to dry it. One kind of has to slam the door for it to close so you sometimes hear other people coming and going.

Positive: The room was modern and clean. The view was lacking as we overlooked construction of another building. The breakfast was delicious and everything was walkable and convenient to Forest Lagoon. It was everything we were looking for our one night stay on our Ring Road trip.
Negative: The view. The construction out the window was disappointing. I wish that the reception area, the breakfast area etc. were in one hotel vs two separate buildings.

Positive: Good location . Beautifully decorated-visited two years ago and couldn’t believe transformation! Would suggest extra hooks in the bathroom for towels and also a mirror in the bedroom area. Only one in bathroom. Also milk as well as coffee pods -could also offer decaf coffee as my partner has heart condition and unable to drink normal coffee. Apart from that overall excellence!

Negative: The smallest room we have seen in our life. Smaller than one can meet in Rome or Paris. Should not be offered as double. No place for luggage. Not a single hook or shelf in bathroom. Quite new and stylish, but very inconvenient to stay. Double rooms not recommended for couples.
Summary: Very inconvenient and small rooms. Not equipped for comfort. But nice design.
